Havelli Nordic began with a fascination for design, interiors, and the nature that surrounds us.
Growing up in Norway, nature is difficult to separate from everyday life. The mountains stretch across the landscape, forests fill the spaces between them, and along much of the country, the sea is never far away. These landscapes have always been a source of inspiration for us, and over time, we wanted to find a way to bring some of that feeling indoors.
Woven textiles felt like the natural place to start. There is something about the way a design becomes part of the fabric itself. The texture, the depth, the way colours come together. A woven blanket can carry a landscape or an idea in a way that feels more considered than something simply printed onto a surface.
But when we looked at what was already available, something felt missing. Many woven blankets relied on familiar motifs and predictable patterns. Others had the kind of design we were looking for, but came with a price that made them difficult to justify for everyday living.
We wanted to do something different.
Havelli was created to make beautifully designed, well made woven pieces more accessible. Pieces with enough character to mean something to the person who owns them, without feeling so precious that they have to be saved for a special occasion.
Inspired by where we come from
The name Havelli Nordic reflects where much of our inspiration begins.
Hav means ocean. Nordic speaks to the landscapes and nature of the North that shape our designs.
From quiet forests and rugged mountains to the open sea, we take inspiration from the places that feel distinctly Norwegian. Sometimes that influence is obvious. Other times, it is only there in a colour, a texture, or the feeling a pattern leaves behind.
We are not trying to recreate nature literally. We want to capture something about it.
That quiet feeling of sitting somewhere familiar. The sense of space after a walk through the forest. The colours of the landscape changing with the seasons. The feeling of being connected to somewhere.
Made to bring something home
We believe the things around us should feel personal.
A blanket should not simply fill an empty space. It should be the piece that makes a room feel finished. The one you reach for on a quiet evening, keep on the sofa, and eventually associate with the place you call home.
That is what we want Havelli to create.

We are still a small independent brand from Norway. There is a lot ahead of us, but the idea remains simple.
